China Inland Mission Stories

CIM Stories

From 1865-1953, China Inland Mission (CIM) missionaries worked throughout the country of China. It was a difficult, tumultuous time in the Middle Kingdom. Those years saw events such as the Boxer Rebellion, the fall of China’s last dynasty, a civil war, World War II and the founding of the Communist government.

Through it all, the CIM persevered to become one of the largest and most respected mission agencies in China. Missionary work in the 19th and 20th centuries laid the foundation for the revival of the Chinese church in recent decades. In this section, read the stories of these faithful saints and the China they so dearly loved.
