Nearly a century and a half ago when God placed OMF International’s founder, J. Hudson Taylor, in China to begin his work, the teeming masses around him were held under the same burden as we see throughout East Asia today as evidenced in the quotes above. Where is there hope without the truth of the gospel and salvation in Jesus? How do people correct the destructive patterns of living and find relief? How do lives of desperation find comfort and peace?
God has given OMF International a heart for Asia and the desire to bring his hope to billions. Growing out of the same passion God placed in the heart of Hudson Taylor, we serve the people of East Asia. Christ’s love compels us to touch lives by giving our lives to him first, and then to others. Through serving, building relationships, evangelism and discipleship, we work to see communities beneficially changed.
