An Editor Leads Prayer as a BridgeAsia Volunteer
After 22 years as an editor in Christian education publishing, Jan Burton joined BridgeAsia because the Lord put on her heart the desire to start a prayer group for Southeast Asia. She’d been praying in various groups for over 30 years. Today Jan meets once a month in her home to pray for OMF International workers and missions with 10-15 people. God has revealed to Jan through this group how significant prayer is to what happens on the fields. “Even a small group of prayer warriors can have an impact on the movement of the Spirit in the most difficult areas of the world.”
Touching Southwestern Mongolia
In January 2009, Joint Christian Services (JCS) sent a four-member team to Gobi-Altai Province in far southwestern Mongolia. Two will be teaching English at a medical college, one is working as an occupational therapist for the Ministry of Health, and one is starting a Micro-Enterprise Business project to provide employment for people with artistic gifts but without income. The team joins another who assists rural schools. Please pray for the Gobi-Altai team as they bring the light of God in the southwest corner of this country.
