“The honor of serving him by interceding for peoples and nations I’ve never seen firsthand is both sobering and amazing.”

Working on her undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri Columbia, Allie first heard about BridgeAsia during a campus missions conference. “I realized that by participating in BridgeAsia, I could start serving and pursuing my interest and passion God had given me for missions right where I was,” said Allie.

Each month Allie meets with a campus group to pray for missionaries, countries and people groups in East Asia. She sees her role as a way to encourage people to see prayer as the most effective and powerful tool God has given us even though we are relatively small and insignificant—God can use us to change the world. “I was encouraged when a member at our first meeting related that he really felt God wanted him to be a part of the group, it was a moment of encouraging confirmation,” expressed Allie.

“Seeing East Asia’s people reached for the gospel is extremely important,” Allie said, “The region’s large population, one third of the world no less, and the fact that many haven’t the faintest idea of what God has done for them makes it a priority.” Allie believes that anyone can pursue the passion God has given them for East Asia through BridgeAsia right where they are and play a significant role in God’s work in Asia. “ I am especially eager to see the prayers through this ministry significantly impact the missionary work in East Asia—chiefly that the gospel would spread more clearly, rapidly and deeply,” she said.
