Responsible to: Director of Stewardship Ministries, Harry Halkowich , Assistant to the Director of Stewardship Ministries

Relates closely with: Coordinator for Volunteer Mobilization, Beth Forshee

Purpose: To compile, process and communicate current information on OMF project ministries in order to enable and encourage donors and potential donors to participate in the urgent evangelization of East Asia’s peoples.

Responsibilities:

Model a consistent witness for Christ, praying regularly for OMF’s ministry and other volunteers and staff.

  1. Compile current information from OMF sources on overseas and U.S. project ministries.
  2. Process, write, and edit project information and updates in a compelling manner for the OMF website, e-mails, letters and brochures.
  3. Encourage and enable OMF donors/potential donors to support project ministries.
  4. Meet regularly with your supervisor for mentoring and sharing ministry updates.
  5. Keep current on OMF’s ministry (OMF web-site, volunteer intranet, OMF materials).

Time commitment: A minimum of four hours a week. (some weeks may be busier than others)

Length of commitment: One year renewable by mutual agreement with your supervisor.

Training:

· Completion of OMF Volunteer Training Course.

· Specific job training conducted by your supervisor.

· Informal ongoing training conducted by your supervisor throughout your commitment.

Special Qualifications:

· Information gathering/research interest and aptitude.

· Ability to communicate in writing clearly and effectively.

· Self-motivated to make contact with overseas workers and donors.

· Desire for relationship-building
