Prayer Point

Pray for the nearly 50 million Hakka in China and Taiwan whose religion is a blend of Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism and ancestor worship. Motivated mainly by fear and superstition, they will do anything in any religious context, as long as it wards off bad luck or improves their lot in life.

Every year OMF hosts a number of events. This includes Candidate Course Trainings (CC) where missionary candidates come to Colorado for the candidate selection process. We also host Home Assignment Reunion & Training (HART) when missionaries in the U.S. on home assignment come to Colorado for training, education and re-entry support. These important times involve every family member of our candidates and missionaries.

For the KIDS' TRACK school age program, OMF is looking for volunteers who love the Lord, enjoy children, have teaching experience. Cross cultural experience would be a plus. Usually we’ll have a mix of kids of differing ages, so experience facilitating a mixed group would also be an asset. There are four areas in which to volunteer:

-- Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher for teens

-- Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher for 7-12 year olds

-- Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher for 4-6 year olds

– Field Trip Leader and Assistants for the above age groups.

We are also looking for CHILD CARE volunteers to care for preschoolers and toddlers. If you love the Lord, enjoy caring for little ones, and have some experience in this area, this is for you!
