How can I become a volunteer?

By becoming a volunteer you can make an eternal difference in the lives of East Asia’s peoples. You can educate people on the ways to get involved in missions. You can gather men and women of prayer on behalf of the unreached peoples. You can host events that bring glory and honor to God by finding and equipping more workers for the harvest. You can mentor men and women into God’s purpose for their lives. There are no limitations on what God can do through you for his kingdom here and now!

If you sense God urging you to learn more about becoming an OMF volunteer, here are some simple next steps:

1. Begin praying. Pray through the ministry roles to see where God is leading you to serve.
2. Contact regional director in your area (listed below). Simply call or send an e-mail to learn more about the ministry. We can send you a detailed booklet or discuss the one in which you are particularly interested.
3. Complete the volunteer application. You can receive the application only after speaking with your volunteer coordinator.

After you have applied, these are the next steps:

1. Interview with your volunteer coordinator.
2. Complete the volunteer training. After a formal interview with your volunteer coordinator you will be given a training manual to do at your own pace. There are three sessions of training which should only take you three weeks to complete. For more questions on training, please discuss them with your volunteer coordinator.
3. Start your ministry with OMF. We provide all the necessary training and tools you will need to be effective in your ministry. We also provide fellowship and accountability within a local volunteer team as well as ongoing training and resources.
