Position: Technical Accountant

Responsible to: Assistant Director of Finance

OMF International is a growing interdenominational mission organization focusing on reaching the people of East Asia. Founded as the China Inland Mission by Hudson Taylor, we are building on our rich heritage of faith and perseverance to see an indigenous, biblical church movement in each people group of East Asia. Our mission in OMF (U.S.) is to glorify God by mobilizing the resources needed for the urgent evangelization of East Asia's peoples.

We are looking for a Technical Accountant to assist the Systems Accountant in maintaining OMF financial processes and software systems supporting our ministry of mobilizing people to pray, go and send.

Requirements:

• Accounting Certification a plus (CPA/CMA).
• Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and/or Computer Science.
• Masters degree in Business, Accounting, or Computer Science a plus (or equivalent experience).
• Programming skills in modern computer languages (C#, Vb.net).
• Ten to 15 years of experience.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Effective communicator.
• Team player.
• Minimum 2-year commitment preferred and must locate in Littleton, Colorado.

Job Summary:

• To be an accounting process resource for the Systems Accountant.
• To assist in the development and maintenance of the automatic interface protocols between our primary accounting software packages (DREAM; TRAVERSE; MILLENIUM; OASIS).
• Cross-trained in operations of OMF International Finance System.
• Setup and installation of accounting and related software.
• Assist in procedures for verifying the integrity of data held in OMF International finance systems.
• To assist in the development of financial reports (DREAM; EXCEL; CRYSTAL; SQL Reporting Services).
• To ensure that current accounting standards, tax requirements, audit requirements, and risk assessment requirements are built into our financial procedures (manual & electronic).
• Other duties as assigned.
• Has an interest in missions and some cross-cultural experience.
