Position: Communications Team Assistant

Responsible to: Communications Coordinator

About OMF International: OMF International is committed to seeing an indigenous church movement for each people group in East Asia. Our U.S. mobilization team’s passion is to inform, inspire and involve God’s people in his purposes for the nations. We are looking for a Communications Team Assistant to help produce compelling tools and resources for our ministry of mobilizing people toward service for East Asia.

Job Summary:

Assistant for the Communications department, providing administrative support to the Communications Coordinator and team members.

Includes:

- Helping prepare communication tools for mobilization such as digital media, pamphlets, displays, books, and basic office tools such as stationary and forms.
- Assisting with website management, travel coordination, distribution of materials.
- Helping coordinate project requests.
- Many other administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Love for Jesus Christ and growing relationship.
  • Carries a teachable spirit, is flexible and team-oriented.
  • Passion for East Asia and reaching its peoples for God’s glory.
  • The ability to proactively plan and work.
  • Is familiar with print and digital media and can take projects from concept to print/production.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) important. Working knowledge of the internet necessary. Experience with and working knowledge of Quark XPress or Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Lotus Notes helpful.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail. One to two years previous administrative/secretarial experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relational skills.
  • Initiative and ability to work on a team as well as on own.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Appropriate editing and grammar skills for various regular publications and communications.
  • Good judgment and a high degree of maturity. Ability to contribute to the productivity of a group by prioritizing and balancing workload for multiple persons.
  • Minimum two-year commitment, three years preferred. Willing to work in Littleton, Colorado.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and support level (you will need to raise full financial support for living and ministry expenses). We ask mobilization team members to raise support to decrease the amount of money field workers need to contribute to mobilization expenses.
