Position: Assistant Editor/Writer

Responsible to: Communications Coordinator

About OMF: OMF International is committed to seeing an indigenous church movement for each people group in East Asia. Our U.S. mobilization team’s passion is to inform, inspire and involve God’s people in his purposes for the nations. We are looking for an excellent editor/writer to help produce compelling tools and resources for our ministry of mobilizing people to pray, go and send.

Job Summary:

  • Assist in development of ads, brochures, web and digital media, news releases, articles and prayer materials through writing and editing.
  • Contribute to the production of mobilization tools through the editing and proofreading process.
  • Research to support written materials (such as unreached people group status, historical impact of work, etc.).
  • Help manage projects to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Editing and writing skills, with formal training/degree strongly preferred.
  • Verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to shape stories from a variety of sources.
  • Ability to work within an international, interdenominational organization.
  • Ability to proactively plan and work.
  • A strong support team for both prayer and finances (full financial support needed).
  • Endorsed and supported by local pastor and church.
  • 2-year commitment preferred. Must be willing to locate in Littleton, Colorado.
  • A mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • A teachable spirit and flexible attitude.
  • Desire to see God’s glory known among the peoples of East Asia.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and support level (you will need to raise full financial support for living and ministry expenses). We ask mobilization team members to raise support to decrease the amount of money field workers need to contribute to mobilization expenses.
