Individual Placements— For those considering long-term, cross-cultural work, experience in every-day life overseas, 1-1 interaction with national and cross-cultural workers; A great opportunity for those with a vision for a specific country or seeking to meet a specific need with professional skills. Learn more about Individual Placements on our website. Preferably for one to six months.

CHINA

Culture Exchange - Learn Chinese (Mandarin) language and culture in small classes with Chinese teachers. Build friendships to share Christ with university students by playing sports, visiting coffee shops and spending time in conversational English.

JAPAN

Tsugaru Church - Join a team from Canada and the U.S. in the ministry of this church just outside of Sapporo and share your life and testimony through outreaches and ministry. Teach English to University students and join in youth activities, English worship and other special events.

LAOS / MYANMAR / VIETNAM

Unreached People Group Prayer Journey - Pray "onsite with insight" with those living among an unreached people group. Learn how to intercede on behalf of unreached peoples in Southeast Asia as you are exposed to their culture, worldview and beliefs first-hand.

PHILIPPINES

TESOL / Chinese Diaspora Ministry - Come partner with a network of Filipino churches reaching Chinese college students in the Philippines! Teach English, build friendships, and learn about ministry in the Philippines from national believers. This unique opportunity is ideal for TESOL students; TESOL internship hours can be earned.

Urban Poor Outreach - Join national workers in outreach programs, community development and other activities among urban poor in displaced communities. We are looking for innovative people, creative thinkers and practitioners to help with the continuing development of their ministry. Train and travel with a team, but function as an individual placement and live with a host family.

TAIWAN

Urban Children’s Ministry Team - Work with an international team teaching English to children and building relationships with families in a low-income housing area.

THAILAND

Church Planting 101—How do you share the gospel and begin an indigenous church among people who have never heard? You and your team will have the opportunity to work alongside long-term missionaries and learn the "nuts and bolts" of church planting among an unreached people. This team will also care for MKs during the OMF Thailand Field Conference.

Men’s Competitive Soccer—Join a competitive international soccer team and participate in student evangelism in schools, detention centers and outdoor parks. (Males only)

Mountain Prayer Journey—Hike through Northern Thailand to pray “onsite with insight” for unreached people Living in spiritual bondage. Travel, learn, talk with Buddhist monks, visit ministries and encourage long-term workers.
July / August (3 weeks) $TBD*

TESOL and Student Outreach—This is a great opportunity for a TESOL internship. You will be part of a team teaching English in a local Thai middle/high school. In addition to teaching English, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with Thai students and participate in church planting ministries. Your team will also serve MKs during the OMF Thailand Field Conference. Come join this team of individuals from around the US as you pray for and serve the people of Thailand.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Application Deadline: minimum three months before trip departure date. (Deadlines range from February - April for summer teams. Late applications will be given case-by-case consideration.)

Application Fee: $45 (Late applications will be considered for remaining openings)

Summer participants attend Serve Asia Orientation in Colorado over Memorial Day Weekend at the end of May. (Program costs listed do not include this individual travel expense to Colorado)

Summer participants attend Debriefing with team members upon return to the US in California before returning home. (Dates and cost included in programs above)

*Programs being offered may change due to field availability, interest or security concerns. Program costs have not been finalized and are subject to change. Costs range from $2500 — $4500.
