Teacher for Children of Missionaries (Cambodia)

OMF International is recruiting a teacher for three missionary children in Northeast Cambodia. All three children are boys, grades 6, 7 and 8. The children are from two American missionary families serving as church planters among unreached people groups in the area. The teacher would serve as an OMF Associate and be a part of the OMF Cambodia team.

Ratanakiri is a beautiful province in Northeast Cambodia with forested hills, clear streams and waterfalls. It is also home to several unreached hill tribes. Living conditions would be a simple wooden house in the provincial capital (pop. 10,000). Electricity is available most of the time. Email (slow connection), Skype and cell phone coverage are also available.

Other details:

  • Minimum one-year commitment, starting in July 2007 (option to renew for longer)
  • Teaching experience or homeschool experience preferable, but not essential
  • Must have a heart for missionary kids
  • Will have to raise a small amount of financial support (but missionary families could help cover any shortfall)
  • Could utilize American homeschool curricula, including DVD courses for more specialized subjects, if necessary
