Gifts designated for “Missionary Special Needs” are held for special emergency and other unbudgeted needs of OMF Missionaries. Missionaries sometime have inadequate savings or other resources to cover such expense. Except for this fund Missionaries would be required to look for assistance outside of OMF available resources.
Common examples of need include serious medical or dental related expenses not covered by insurance, and travel back to the United States after the death or during the illness of a close family member.
The “Missionary Special Needs” fund has been a blessing and source of comfort and encouragement to many of our Missionaries during times of personal hardship.
