Literature for Buddhists

Many Thai Buddhists who have not yet heard and understood the gospel of Christ are open to reading evangelistic materials introducing them to the Bible. With such a warm reception to this literature, missionaries are eagerly handing out tracts, booklets and even Bibles to these people. The need for more materials is constant as missionaries try to keep up with the interest of this group.

Ban Nok Kamin (House for the Homeless Bird)

Life as an orphan or street kid is tough. Living in constant exposure to violence, drugs, abuse, prostitution, etc. have created voids in their lives. Beginning in 1990, in response to this need, Baan Nok Kamin was created. By providing homes with Christian “parents,” a safe place for abused girls, a drug rehab center and education, BNK is giving these kids a new hope. With homes all around Thailand, many kids are receiving the attention, love, education and truth of Christ they desperately need. As the children of BNK grow into adults, the ministry is developing new ways to train them in business and send them out into the world as new people.

Radio broadcasting to Muslims (RBTM) – South Thailand

In areas hostile to the Gospel, radio ministry is a vital tool for reaching into communities in a non-threatening way. Through RBTM, over one million Muslims in South Thailand are hearing the gospel over the radio waves. RBTM also offers a correspondence course as a way to reach further into the lives of listeners with the gospel of Christ.

Chiangmai Theological Seminary

The church in North Thailand is growing and relatively strong among both the Thai and tribal groups. Pastors and church leaders in this area desire further Bible and theological education, but few have the time or money to travel the distance for residential programs. Seeing this situation, CBC began providing undergraduate and graduate level courses that give leaders the opportunities for the training they’ve desired, without the expense and time away from ministry.

Bible School Student Scholarship Fund

Students from poor families of churches related to the Associated Churches in Thailand are able to receive a Bible College/Seminary education through scholarship funds provided through this project. Students are carefully screened to identify future church leaders by local associations who then recommend them for scholarship.

New Church Plants

This project encourages church planting efforts by Thai nationals. Funds are used to make grants through the Associated Churches in Thailand to district member associations for specific church planting efforts. Very specific conditions apply to the grants and when a grant is approved the funds are forwarded through the association.
