Discipling a Whole Nation – Mentoring National Pastors Movement

Emphasis is on the establishment of many more churches and includes a significant focus on pastoral training, including pastoral care and personal growth. With increased training and mentoring, more effective pasturing will encourage the rapid growth of healthy churches. This initiative will train current and future Filipino leaders and pastors who will train other pastor-mentors to ensure that every believing community has effective leadership and every effective leader has a mentor.

“Child, You Have Hope!” (“Bata, May Paglaom Ka!”) – Davao City

In a community where the cycle of poverty is hard to overcome, hope is near. CYHH is a child sponsorship program for children of impoverished families. This program enables them to get the education they desperately need in order to help break this cycle in their family. The CYHH project was begun by an OMF-established church with the desire to reach out and touch the community around them with the love of Christ. Those sponsoring a child through CYHH are providing an education essential to the needs of these children and their families. This brings the opportunity to the church to establish relationships and bring the gospel and love of Christ into the homes of their neighbors.

Locale Missions Network (LMN)

LMN is a project designed to help meet the financial needs of Filipino missionaries ministering to Muslim people groups in their area. These Filipino missionaries have been trained and equipped by the local church, but many lack the funding needed to go out and begin ministries. LMN helps support those missionaries who need extra funding. This ministry is vital in reaching Filipino Muslims because Filipino missionaries have the ability to blend in with the culture and language of the Muslims in a way that foreigners do not have. The goal of LMN and the missionaries is to establish biblical, indigenous communities of faith among the Muslim groups of the Philippines.

Bukang Liwayway – Manila & Calapan City

In the slum cities, depressing conditions are intensified by broken families, child abuse, drugs and prostitution. Missionaries, however, are seeing an incredible openness to the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Through evangelism, education assistance, medical care and more, the Bukang Liwayway project seeks to bring healing to desperate communities. The goal of Bukang Liwayway is to establish Filipino churches that will one day take over this ministry of care and love.
