Missionary Special Needs
Missionaries sometimes experience special emergency and other unbudgeted personal hardship expenses. They often have inadequate savings or other resources to cover these expenses, but you can help through any of three special funds, known as the General Special Needs Fund, the Benevolence Fund, and the Mental Health Fund.
- General Special Needs Fund. Special emergency needs only, such as medical, compassionate travel, dental, counseling, etc. For missionaries working in the U.S. or on Home Assignment.
- Benevolence Fund. This fund applies only to serious needs related expenses not fully covered by insurance. For missionaries overseas or in the U.S.
- Mental Health Fund. Some missionaries and missionary families require counseling and care as a result of the difficulties of missionary service. This fund provides a ready resource to strengthen and restore them.
You may prefer that your gift help a missionary or missionary family experiencing special needs. Please contact us to discuss this opportunity.
Or, you may prefer to help missionaries and missionary families generally that have or will have special needs. In doing so, please be sure to tell us that you prefer your support be used for the General Special Needs Fund, the Benevolence Fund, or the Mental Health Fund.
We are thankful for these funds as a blessing and comfort to our missionaries during times of personal hardship.
In accordance with I.R.S guidelines, your contribution is made with the understanding that OMF International has complete control over use of the donated funds.
