Shelley Trebesch
Leadership/Member Development
Shelley Trebesch identifies her heritage from her previous generations of homesteaders in the Rocky Mountain State of Montana. She met the Lord through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and came on staff with InterVarsity shortly after her undergraduate studies.
After pioneering a campus ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in Flagstaff, AZ, Shelley pursued further studies at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA. Upon arriving in Pasadena, she discovered that the academic environment was to be her next sphere of ministry. While completing a Master of Divinity (Cross-cultural Studies), Shelley served as an administrator and then, adjunct instructor. She has been teaching full-time at the seminary (regular courses as well as online/distance learning) since 1999. Finally, Shelley finished a PhD emphasizing the development of people within organizations and churches. In these capacities, she has had the privilege of interacting with, learning from, and mentoring students from all over the world.
Shelley has worked extensively in leadership and organizational development. She has led seminars and conferences, taught, and consulted in almost every continent of the world for such organizations as InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, OMF International, Frontiers, National Evangelical Christian Fellowship of Malaysia, YWAM, World Impact, Evangelical Association of Chinese Churches, Urbana, to name a few. Shelley’s primary pursuit, however, is intimacy with God. Her personal mission phrase is “calling forth life, creating life-giving organizations.”
Shelley joined OMF International in November 2003.
