Orr, Ridge and Connie
Ridge and Connie Orr
Serving in Singapore
Ridge and Connie Orr have had four terms of service with OMF in Korea and are now serving as a pastor of a church in Singapore. Their years of ministry on the northeast coast of South Korea were full and fruitful.
Ridge had an invigorating ministry among college students primarily working through InterVarsity Fellowship on six or seven campuses, immersing himself in evangelism and discipleship. College students were presented with the claims of Christ and challenged to apply the principles of God's Word to all of life.
Meanwhile, Connie thrived on children's ministry. She spent many weekends visiting surrounding villages with the Gospel Traveling Library - an outreach that combined a lending library with children's Bible studies and recreation. Through this ministry, Connie touched the lives of rural children who had never heard the precious truths of the Word of God, and helped small country churches reach neighborhood children.
Church work was also a significant part of their ministry in Korea. Working in a supporting role in a church-planting effort, they were thrilled to see God establish His church. Sunday school, junior and senior high youth work, English Bible study, continued training for rural pastors, and involvement with the local InterVarsity board are further opportunities for challenging service.
Ridge was ordained in 1993 and is working on a D.Min degree from RTS in Orlando.
