Buzz grew up overseas as the son of a diplomat for the U.S. government. In his third year at San Diego State University he accepted Jesus as his Lord. Buzz experienced short-term ministry in Christian theater and evangelism in communist countries in Eastern Europe. Through this, God uniquely called him into career missions.

Ruthi is a third generation MK having grown up in a tribal setting in North Thailand and a boarding school in Malaysia. Ruthi also experienced short-term missions in Europe and committed herself to missions prior to marrying Buzz in 1976.

Buzz, Ruthi and Dave live in Pasadena, CA for their home assignment. Nate is working at Point Loma University as a credential analyst, and Ben and Lisa were married July 14, 2007. The Curtises have been involved in church planting with OMF International since 1980. Continue to lift them up before the Lord.

Buzz and Ruthi have a hunger and vision to see God opening up the heavens and pouring down his love and presence, particularly in the Central Thailand province of Saraburi where 600,000 people exist without interest in Jesus.

Peace Church is now assisting in leadership training and church planting in the Buddhist society around them. Saraburi, with 14 churches, is one of 76 provinces needing serious transformation in every way. Pray for more Thai lay people to share and live the gospel with the passion of God to reach their own society.
