Conference was fab!

- Monday 06 August 2007

Well guys just to update you on the conference and the kids club. It all went really well. God was so so gracious to us. We began on the Monday afternoon and had a brilliant session with the kids where they made some cool crafts and we all played some games. The kids were ace and really got involved which made things so much easier for us!

The hotel we stayed in was very posh so we enjoyed having a/c for a few nights! The OMF workers were so grateful that we were looking after their kids and were just so lovely to us. The group of kids we took ranged from 4 to 10 years old. Our stories for the week were on the life of Peter and various experiences he had in his life - one were he followed Jesus, trusted Jesus, let Jesus down and then finishing off with how Jesus forgave him. the kids sang a song wehad been learning all week and said an acrostic of P-E-T-E-R to the adults at the final family worship service on the Friday morning. This went down a treat and the kids did really well.

It was also just brilliant to get to know the missionary families better and what each of them were going through. We all agreed that it has enabled us to much better pray for these workers out in Cambodia now that we have actually met them face to face and discussed the issues they face daily. God truly blessed us all and it was a real priviledge to share in the workers conference.

On a lighter note, we also had a taste of the Cambodian sea (literally)!!! We went to the beach on two occassions and were teaching some of the missionaries how to 'body-surf'. It was brilliant banter!!

Thanks again for all your prayers and support, much love,

Kate, Jo D, Jo C, Annie and Tory xo
