Why I am going to Taiwan?
God gave me a burden for East Asia, esp. China, HK, and Taiwan since 2 years ago and I'd like to take this opportunity to see if long-term mission is the direction that God is leading me too. I also went to Urbana '06 and made a commitment to involve in a cross-cultural mission after I came back. Last but not least, I love bubble tea =D

Annie is Taiwanese and Markus is from Finland. We are studying now in the Belfast Bible College for a 2 years diploma in Bible and Church's mission. It's our first time with OMF for short term mission.

I'm 19 and just finished sophomore year at Cornell University. I'm from Rhode Island, and I'm Chinese American, but I can barely even speak Canto (not much Mandarin and no Taiwanese, sadly :/). Regardless, I'm excited to see how God can work in Taiwan this summer. It's gonna be amazing.

Why I'm going: I had some time off this year so I was challenged to dedicate a portion of that time to God by doing a short term mission.

Reason for coming to Taiwan: Love spending time with people from Asian culture-want to be overseas long-term someday, and know that this is part of that journey.

About me: I'm 21 and have just finished a degree in Classics at Oxford University. From September I will be spending a year on a teacher training couse.
Why I want to go Taiwan: I love Asia and feel this is something God is calling me to do!

About Me!: I'm a recent high school graduate, class of 2007, and will be attending the University of Oregon Robert D. Clark Honors College in the Fall. I love Jesus!
Why I want to go to Taiwan: Since I'll be attending college in the Fall, I acknowledge that there will be a lot of temptations and distractions that may cause me to stray away from God (ie: academic pursuits, social life). I wanted to go on this mission trip mainly to have Christ as my focus right before I enter college. I think it's a good focal point for me. Also, I do not know what God wants me to do with my life, so I want to use this experience to see if God wants me in full-time ministry or elsewhere. It will at least give me a good idea.
