Farewells...
Thailand Birkett - Tuesday 28 August 2007Our taxi arrives in half an hour and for the first time on the whole trip we are ready early! Not that that reflects eagerness on our part to leave. We are all rather sad to leave behind Thai students we have befriended, a team who have grown close and the fantastic food!
The above reminds us how much you, your prayers and encouragement have been part of the team. And God has been present abundantly. We complimented each other brilliantly, we tried out doing surveys and despite an obvious lack of language we had some great opportunities to work with Thai students to share the gospel. There has been no sickness and Jillian was just able to hand over her emergency chocolate supplies unused! We have prayed for opportunities to share the gospel: Roz did and the next day two students came into the English club wanting to talk about spirits and their fear of them.
So off we go. Thank you for joining us on the journey and for being a part in the work God is doing here in Thailand. We are much more aware of this now having worked with Christian students who come from tribal areas in North Thailand. People whose parents believed because of the people that prayed and the missionaries that shared the gospel with the tribes a century ago.
There's so much more to tell. Do ask us. We'd love to tell!
Matt for the whole team.
