Team members' message board - Issue 1 (Part 2)

And here are the entries by the 3 guys who occupy room 404 in the OMF accommodation at Ichikawa.

Hi to all,

It’s been a real blessing so far, from the church service we had on Sunday when we also met some of the kids who’ll be at the kids gospel to all the strange and interesting things we’ve experienced first hand of Japan. Praise God for his goodness. Everyone is in relatively good health although tiredness is something we’re all having so please do pray for us that God will give us energy and we rely on His strength and not our own. We’ll be finishing off all our preparations the next two days and then off to Yotsukaido. We’re all very excited!

Hello one and all.

I’ve been getting told off by our blog master (Yao) for not writing my blog entry, so here goes. Japan is quite indescribable, and I shall not even attempt to reduce it to words. So far I’ve been enjoying the whole experience, however I don’t think I’ve quite gotten used to the constant swarms of people in the train stations at all hours of the day! So far we have also escaped this intense heat and humidity that everyone has been telling us is coming, which has been nice, as we have been able to practice in comfort! We are now at the stage where we are ready almost ready for the children. The children, we have been warned, will be energetic…and that seems to be a conservative estimate! So far God has been very good to us, giving us good health and energy to enable us to practice hard for the children and for our concerts. On Monday we will be leaving OMF HQ to go to Yotsukaido to start our first week of “Kids Gospel Rock”. Please pray for team unity and energy, and that God would be able to use us and also that we could be shining lights for Him.

Thank-you for your prayers,

-Lloyd (ロイド)

Hi all,

Thanks for all your prayers and for being such supportive co-workers in Christ. Please continue to pray for our health, as it wouldn’t be pleasant to play a saxophone with a blocked nose or sing with a cough and sore throat for instance. And any illness would zap half of our energy, which we’d desperately need as we start working with the children at Yotsukaido next week!

Please also pray that the Lord will be preparing the hearts of the kids and their parents for the Gospel message. And given that we’re likely to be staying with non-Christian home-stay families, pray for opportunities to share the Gospel with them. Thanks ever so much!
