Thai Aerobics in Nakhon Sawan

Thailand McClean - Wednesday 18 July 2007

OK...so we arrived in Nakhon Sawan Youth House on Saturday evening and there has been lots going on.

We went to various churches on sunday and were really encouraged by meeting all our Thai brothers and sisters in Christ- although these churches were small, the members were passionate for Christ.

However, much of our time has been spent with Thai students in the youth house (which is a youth centre with an open house policy). The students are both high school and university students, some of whom are Christians.

After initially being denied access to the main university campus, we have since been granted permission to meet students, hand out flyers and do cold-contact via questionnaires on culture and religion.

Please pray:

- Praise God for answered prayer, after being refused permission to go on campus and rain disrupting some of our activities, we now have access on campus and it hasn't rained today.

-Thank God for the first contact with university students on campus, especially as the students are intrigued by the "ferangs" (foreigners). Please pray that we form good friendships and can invite students to evangelistic events.

- Pray for good health in the team as a tummy bug has taken a few people out of action.

-Pray for the frustrations that the language barrier causes but give thanks that this gives the Christian Thai students, who sometimes interpret for us, an opportunity to explain the gospel to their friends.

Thanks for reading, over and out...

ps.today we part-took in the Thai culture of areobics in the park...pictures may follow...
