Welcome to the blog for the fmZero Serve Asia team 2008. Once again, we come from Christchurch Durham to support our mission partner Richard East in his ministry with students in Sapporo. There are just five of us this year, led by Mark, a veteran from last year's trip. We head out on 30th June, returning on the 1st August, and we hope this blog will be useful for your information and prayers. |

A sociable weekend
Predictably, a lot has happened since the last post. On Thursday, we had great fun at the Tokai English Speaking Society, making a few new contacts who we hope to see again this Tuesday. We also had dinner with Pastor Honda at Minami Church, which was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Japanese church and to be encouraged by the pastor in our evangelism with students in Tokai. First contact
Just time to update the blog in a few moments for individual correspondence. We have had one full day here so far, after a 30-hour Monday which was as tiring as expected. Getting ready
Having plagiarised Goody's excellent work on these pages last year, the blog is just about set up, by mysterious impostor "Tony" Welch!
