Sawadee-krap!
(or 'greetings' if your Thai's a little rusty)
Welcome to our team blog!
Hopefully you'll enjoy following our progress as we travel from the UK to Thailand this summer. We're flying out on Sunday 19th July and will be in Thailand until Friday 14th August.
We'll be sharing regularly our news, prayer requests and (undoubtedly embarassing) stories about what we've been up to.
We hope these posts will be encouragements to you and will help you to see what God's doing in Thailand. Please do leave comments and let us know what you're up to as well! :)
Thank you for your support!

Background: What's been going on in central Thailand?
The story so far...
God's doing lots of exciting things in central Thailand right now, so we thought it might be helpful for you guys reading our blog to know what they are and how we will be helping.
The main work that we will be helping out with is that in the 'Youth House' in Nakhon Sawan. There are a number of Youth Houses run by OMF missionaries and Thai student work...

Some Prayer Points
Hopes, Fears and Prayers
Some things that we'd love you to pray for!
This is not an exhaustive list, but if you could just pick a couple of points and pray over them that would be brilliant. We really appreciate it!
- Thanks that we are able to go - God's provision has been so amazing!
- Thanks for the team - pray that we would continue to get on well...

We have arrived in Bangkok!
Greetings from Bangkok!
We've been here nearly 24 hours now. It is presently 8.36pm on Tuesday evening and we are now chilling out (thanks to aircon!) after a day of orientation at the OMF guesthouse. We arrived safely after a long flight with the rather swish Etihad airlines with a stop-off at Abu Dhabi airport. Upon leaving Bangkok airport we were all hit by the heat and have si...

More from Nakhon Sawan
Team Lowdown
It is now Wednesday evening and we are enjoying another evening hanging out at the Youth House with lots of students. Highlights in the last few days have included: seeing elephants wandering down the street, eating ‘roti’ (a sweet Thai pancake), meeting students on the University campus, visiting a very exotic bird sanctuary (though we don’t how the RSPB would have fe...

Party Time!
There ain’t no party like a Youth House party!
This weekend in Nakhon Sawan has been very relaxed. Saturday was our day off and we went to Big C (the local shopping centre) for KFC - a rare western luxury! It was good to have some time after the craziness of Friday night, when we hosted a ‘British party’ at the Youth House. It was a brilliant night and the Youth House was filled wi...

We are praying that there will be around 200 students from all over central Thailand at the camp. Already students are arriving at the Youth House in preparation for our 5pm (or late...

Camp Report
We have started to recover from the craziness of camp now, but are still feeling tired. Not surprising considering the amount of sleep we had or the large amount of running! Overall, camp was great and well worth all the hard work - at the end 12 students became christians! Praise the Lord!
The camp consisted of lots of games, Bible studies, music, fun and f...

Back Home
Back in the UK
Well, we arrived back in the UK safely last night after a long day’s travelling and we are all back home now. So, this will be our final ‘team Nakhon Sawan’ blog entry! Our last few days were busy and it was very sad saying goodbye to our Thai friends and Caroline and AJ. On Tuesday night we had an informal farewell party at the Youth House and it was good to have a...
