Good News, Good Music

The dim lights, heavy metal posters and simple furniture are a far cry from the pews and sandstone of the Western churches I know, yet every Friday night, this guitar shop is transformed into a cosy café where the love of Jesus is proclaimed.
Its owner and his wife are members of a local house church. Burdened to reach out to friends, they invite them to this little place to practise English, listen to music and, most importantly, to build friendships.
Every week the café is graced with the sounds of Jiang’s guitar. The shop owner has been teaching him how to play for over a year now. Although he is not a believer, Jiang often goes along to meetings to accompany worship songs on the guitar. Please pray that the truth proclaimed in the songs will cut through Jiang’s heart.
