Exciting news has been filtering through the OMF network of amazing things that are happening in Thailand, missionaries who have worked there for many years are wondering if they are on the edge of a breakthrough? We are delighted that Rev David Johnston (Hamilton Road Presbyterian Bangor) is going to show us from the Word of God how this kind of breakthrough only happens after years of faithful preaching and perseverance in prayer.
We return to the beautiful Dromantine Conference Centre with its fabulous lake and gardens and warm hospitality. We would encourage those of you who are able to take this opportunity to join us for the whole weekend and enjoy unhurried time with Helen Lyttle, Grace Pettigrew, Mark & Christine Tan, Chris Reynolds, Karen & Victor Boyd and Heather McMeekin. There will be Serve Asia workers returned from their summer expedition telling tales of English classes in China, orphans in Malaysia and student work in Thailand.
It’s never too soon to introduce your children to the excitement and adventures of missionaries!
To let them hear stories about customs and cultures that are so different from their own and to hear how God is at work in every country in the world. At the OMF Irish conference, we have made the Saturday suitable for every member of the family to join us. We offer a crèche (0-4) and children’s programme (5-11) from 9am to 5pm where the children can learn about missions while parents enjoy the main programme. During the afternoon seminar programme there will be alternative outdoor activities suitable for all members of the family. Who knows if there isn’t a little Hudson Taylor or Amy Carmichael in the making in your family?!
