Over the years we've found that short-term experience often leads to spiritual growth and a life-long commitment to missions. If you're over 18 and want to serve God in East Asia, join us and gain first-hand missions experience.

In a Team

If you can give two to eight weeks to serve God in East Asia, you could be part of a Serve Asia team.

As part of a team you will: experience East Asia, share the gospel through friendships, meet Asian believers, make new Christian friends and assist OMF missionaries of varoius nationalities.

There are also opportunities to see what it's like in countries that are currently closed to traditional church planting.

If you know a group of people from your church or CU who would like to serve with you, let us custom make a trip to a missionary you support, or to help meet another need that we have.

The Process

• Apply: Fill in the application and medical forms and return them to OMF.
  We'd love to talk so please feel free to call our Serve Asia coordinator on 01732 887299 or email serveasia@omf.org.uk .
• Attend an interview
• Attend an orientation weekend in the UK
• Go and Serve Asia
• Attend debrief weekend: 14-16 September for summer 2007 teams.
• Discuss future opportunities

The Cost

Serve Asia trips normally cost £1250-£1600 depending on length of trip and destination.

Individual Placements, Internships and Gap Years

If you are in a maturing relationship with Christ and are flexible and friendly, you can experience East Asia from a few weeks to a year on an OMF individual placement, serving alongside experienced long-term workers.

We will build a custom trip to match your skills and personality. Let us know your availability and what you'd like to be involved in and we'll help work out a programme.
