Tips on how to use the template
Here's how to get the most out of the template and make your presentation look super-cool.
There are three Master slides
- Use the one with Photos round the edge when displaying text
- Use the plain one with OMF logo when showing pictures
- Use the Black one to end the presentation
- If you're feeling adventurous, add your own images to the plain OMF slide to personalise
- Use Slide Layout to change the way text and images are laid out on the page
Showing Images
- Try and show close up images of people if you want people to pray for a person. Too many faces in one picture will mean that people will not be able to distinguish individual features.
- Add a white line (about 12 point) around the pictures for a Polaroid feel.
- Rotate them a little for a more hand-made look.
Showing Text
- Keep text to a minimum. Show pictures, tell stories, display brief prayer points
- Make sure text is big enough. Check the venue, projector and screen and beforehand
Most important
- You are the most interesting thing - people have come to see you, not a PowerPoint!
- Check it works. Get together with your church A/V team, test it live and make sure you can see everything clearly
- Have a backup plan. In case anything goes wrong, which it often does. Print out prayer cards and some A4 photos out to hand round.
- Enjoy telling people what God has been doing through you
