To Do What?
To serve on multinationals teams doing church planting among animistic Roman Catholic Filipinos.
Possible Tasks
Make contacts with nonbelievers, evangelize, disciple, teach, and train.
For how long?
Long term (3 years or more).
When?
Needed immediately.
What's required?
Learn Tagalog language and culture. Join a multinational team, under Filipino leadership. Work towards a church multiplication movement.
Language?
Tagalog and possible Bicolano in Sorsogon province.
Type of person
Bible school or seminary trained. Highly motivated, creative, flexible, and showing initiative. Practical experience in ministry. Knowledge of folk Catholicism is helpful. Spiritually and psychologically mature. Physically healthy.
Other Background Information
The people of Quezon and Sorsogon provinces remain less than 2% evangelical. In each, we have started a few churches but are now trying to establish a movement of churches. Most of the workers in both places are Filipinos.
