To Do What?
The SJ-AA will be directly responsible to the Serve Japan Coordinator, and will assist him in all matters related to short-term missions in Japan.

Possible Tasks
This will include promotion and recruitment for short-term missions, processing and finding placements for successful applicants, orientating and debriefing short-term workers, and keeping the field up to date on the availability and ideal utilization of short-term workers.

When?
Start Jan 2009, with handover time before

What's required?
The SJ-AA must be computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, though some training will be given.
They should also be a good telephone and e-mail communicator.

Language?
English (opportunity to learn Japanese)

Type of person
As well as having good administrative skills, the SJ-AA must also be good with people as they will be directly involved in greeting new arrivals and helping them to settle.
The SJ-AA must be teachable, very ‘flexible’ in all aspects of the role, and able to accept changes easily.
