31. God’s Plan for North Korea

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

What are some of God’s plans for North Korea?...

The same plans he has for every nation.

  • God wants North Chosun to be a righteous nation that honors the Lord. (Psalm 96:7-8; 102:15)
    • He wants the government to be truthful, to be just and fair, and to care for the good of the citizens of North Korea. (Prov. 29:4, 14; 31:4, 8-9)
    • God wants that country to be humble before him and merciful to its citizens. (Micah 6:8)
    • God wants rulers in a land to do good, to commend citizens when they do good and to punish those who do wrong, with right and wrong being defined by God and his word, the Bible. (Rom. 13:3-4)
    • God wants the disciples of the church in the North to live as light and salt. (Matt. 5:13-16)
    • He wants the believers to worship God Almighty and the Lord Jesus Christ. (Rev. 4:10-11; 5:12)
    • He wants the disciples to be able to freely gather and fellowship together. (Heb. 10:24-25)
    • He wants the Bible to be freely available to all in a language they can understand. (Matt. 28:19-20)
    • The Lord wants people in the North to be able to communicate freely with Koreans in the South, especially family members. (Phil. 2:25-30)
    • He wants every person in North Korea to have enough food. (Matt. 6:11)
    • He wants the gospel to be able to come to North Chosun and for disciples from there to carry the gospel to others in China, Japan, the Middle East and other parts of the world. (Acts 1:8)

May God’s good will be realized in North Korea, and may that country bring him honor and glory, as God intends for it and every other country in the world.

  • Praise God that his church is alive in the North and that he has a plan for it.
