Charity Auction
In 2006 OMF received over £17,000 in donations from charity auctions. OMF supporters generously gave valuable personal items for auction by the Northwood or Wallington Missionary Auctions designating OMF to receive the proceeds. Since the late 1960s these two charities have collected and evaluated goods from around the UK and sold them at regular auctions. Northwood Missionary Auctions have experts to offer advice on which items are suitable for sale, where the funds raised are to support mission societies and Christian outreach in the UK and abroad. They also advise on legacies. Malcolm Iliff, co-founder of NMA explains, ‘We have only scraped the surface of giving to mission through this particular method. I just pray we do a lot more in future years.’
