Prayer Point

Roger and Jane Senior will continue on the staff of Ulaanbaatar Theological College when they return to Mongolia this autumn, but Roger will step down as principal. Pray for the board as they seek to make a new appointment and plan interim arrangements.

As well as the teams listed below, there will be relief and reconstruction teams to Sichuan to help the Chinese government. We are particularly looking for engineers, counsellors (knowledge of Mandarin very useful), rehab professionals (PT and OT), primary teachers (with fluent Mandarin). Please contact china@omf.org.uk , if you are interested, even if your profession is not listed here.

Sport & Culture Team

• Dates: June - July (Two weeks)
• Purpose: to serve a House Church by running and participating in Summer Camp activities. These will be a way for people to invite their friends to church in a safe environment. Activities range from horse-trekking to fashion shows
• Team Size: up to 12
• Requirements: Fun, adventure, and probably physical fitness!

Business in China Team

• Dates: Postponed to 2009
• Purpose: to visit Small and Medium Enterprises in China with a view to getting a greater understanding of how to combine business with a God-glorifying and Kingdom-building lifestyle. The trip is divided into two weeks. Week 1 in a busy metropolis, Week 2 in a more provincial location
• Team Size: Up to 12
• Requirements: This trip is designed for those who are involved in business somehow and want to learn more about God’s Business in China.

Therapy Centre Team

• Dates: November 2008 (2 week trip)
• Purpose: To serve in a training centre for Physically Handicapped Teenagers
• Team Size: up to 7
• Requirements: Small business trainers, Videographer to make a promotional DVD, Accountant to Audit the centre

Hospital Team

• Dates: October (two week trip)
• Purpose: to serve in a hospital in central China: conducting ward rounds and training Chinese interns and colleagues (as expertise allows)
• Team Size: up to 9
• Requirements: Specialists and Generalists

English Corner Team

• Dates: End October (two weeks)
• Purpose: to build relationships through English conversation lessons - formal and informal
• Team Size: up to 8
• Requirements: Some teaching experience is useful
