Satan Disturbed

Pii Faay is the woman who stated that she cannot become a Christian because of the First Commandment (October Thai Tempo, “To the Temple, or Not”). However, she continues to attend a Bible study, but 2 incidents demonstrate that Satan is craftily at work:
I usually come to the house for Bible study with a smile on my face because of the increase in the number of children and their attentiveness. But this day, when I came to the house I was surprised that there were no children at all. Where were they? I went inside to find two adults more or less waiting for me. I asked them where the children were. The answer stunned me. They were in the nearby temple playing computer games. The temple recently bought 5 computers for the local children to play for free. I returned home with a heavy heart.
During another recent study, Pii Faay and her children were attentively watching the story of Jesus, when her husband walked into the house. This man has recently returned home after working in Israel for 5 years. He had been sending money home, which, along with Pii Faay’s income from sewing, allows this family to live in a big house. Pii Faay’s husband walked across the room in the middle of the study and gave his son a nice, shiny gold necklace with a monk image – an amulet. He told his son, “Never take it off!” My heart sank to my feet. (Jan & Jose van Eeken, church planting, Nong Song Hong, Isaan)
- Please pray that God will open the hearts of Pii Faay, her children and her returned husband so that they can see the truth.
- Pray for Nong Song Hong that Satan may loose his influence on the people, and that Jesus will have the victory as the Gospel goes out and begins to touch people’s lives.
