Nun

Last year Nun was teaching at a high school in Lopburi after graduating from a Bangkok University. Involved in her local church and committed to evangelism, she was privileged to see some of her students start to study the bible. A few professed faith in Jesus Christ. Concerned for their long-term discipleship and growth, she linked them up with the Lopburi Youth House, one of our three student ministry centres in Central Thailand. She also started to ask herself questions about her own long-term goals and dreams.
Over several months she felt increasingly called into full-time Christian ministry. A short-term mission trip to Cambodia opened her eyes to World Missions. Opportunities in her school challenged her to grow in her ablity to share the gospel here in Thailand, too.
Today Nun is one of three Thai graduates participating in Trained to Serve (T2S), a two year apprenticeship training programme linked to the OMF student ministry team in Central Thailand. She will live and serve at Naresuan University, Phitsanulok for the next two years, learning ministry skills and gaining theological training as she works alongside other student workers. She is also planning to spend the last three months of her apprenticeship on placement in a neighbouring country exploring God's will for her long term future. - Pray for Nun, Zo and Tam all starting Trained to Serve this month. Pray that the next two years will be a time of spiritual growth as well as a time to gain new ministry skills.
- Pray for Trained to Serve. Pray that this ministry training programme will help to raise up a generation of young people who are passionate about the Gospel and willing to give their lives so that others might hear. Pray too that the Lord will provide the needed support for each person in T2S.
- Pray for Nun and other Thai young people with a heart for missions. Pray that they will have helpful training and preparation which enables them to serve long-term in neighbouring countries and further afield.
