Nights That Lead to The Light

Through various meetings such as Korean Night (where we taught Korean), English Night (where we taught English), and Friday Night (so named becauseit was held on Friday!), we have gotten closer to the students at the nearby university. By the middle of June four people came to Christ:
1 person had been coming to ourmeetings for nearly 3 years, 1 person is a student who studies Korean from my wife and 2 were students who study Korean and have attended many Christian meetings. This past July two short-term teams came to help at an evangelistic camp: one from America and one from Korea. They put on skits and sang songs about the creation and the crucifixion. The theme of the camp was Love. As the camp was coming to an end, we had a prayer meeting and a lot of students cried. Afterwards we held a “love feast” so everyone could speak blessings to each other. We sat in two circles – one on the inside and one on the outside. When it came to my wife’s turn, one of the students (the youngest sister of two who had already accepted Christ) held my wife’s arm and said, “Stay with me for a while.” My wife stayed. The student told my wife that she had already accepted Christ when her sisters did but she couldn’t tell anyone because her mother had forbidden her o accept Christ. However, now she wanted to tell people and promised she would come to church. (OMF Partners, church planting, Chiangmai)
