them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Earlier in the year (July) I told the story of Rang and Wi, a couple who came to faith and started witnessing to their friends and neighbours. This past week they were baptised in the river along with 20 other people! However, not everyone is happy about their new found faith. Wi’s father has stopped his wife from being more involved in the church. She had started coming along to learn more about the Christian faith. Another issue that is raising its head is the whole idea of God blessing business dealings so that it becomes difficult to know if those who seem interested only want “business blessing” and have not yet really understood the gospel. - Praise the Lord and pray for God’s protection over these new believers, that they will grow in faith as they read God’s word.
- Pray that the Lord would soften the heart of Wi’s father and help him to see what true joy Wi has found in knowing Jesus. Pray for Wi’s mother to continue to seek the Lord.
- Pray that the Thai believers will continue to trust and depend on God, their rock, through times of plenty and want because He is faithful to save us.
