Growing in Prayer and Understanding Jesus

"What is prayer? I don't know how to do it," said Grandma Tong-Yin. "It's easy," Aunty Chaliaw replied. "When I'm missing my children, I pray and ask God to help me. He always answers my prayer and one of them comes to visit me. You just say..." Aunty Chaliaw, a Christian for about 18 months, was excited to be able to tell Tong-Yin about her faith. When we took Aunty Chaliaw to visit Grandma Tong-Yin, I wasn't sure how it would go. But, the two ladies have a lot in common: about the same age (late 50s/60s), both widows, both have health issues that stop them from walking, both have 3 children, one of whom has had trouble. Best of all is that Aunty Chaliaw can relate to where Grandma Tong-Yin is at in her seeking the Lord. She explained to Grandma Tong-Yin, " I didn't used to understand all this about Jesus, but now I do. You just have to listen and learn. It comes. I'm still learning, too." (Mary Robertson, Suphanburi Church)
Please pray for

  • For Grandma Tong-yin and Aunty Chaliaw to keep growing in their knowledge of Jesus.
  • For people of all ages to come to faith throughout the country of Thailand.
