"Lord, please guard the heart of the guard"
I had a couple of short conversations with Beum, the security guard at my son's school, last year but mostly I would pass by him with a friendly wave and a smile as I took my son to school. As he sat by the school gate most of the day, I thought that he would probably appreciate someone to chat with. I had asked our prayer supporters to pray for an opportunity to share Bible Stories with him during this time. However, nothing eventuated during our son's first year at the school.However, this year we take our son to school at mid-morning, when Beum is least busy. One day I chatted with him and he was happy to listen to a Bible story as well! Since then I've been able to tell him more Bible stories. He has read the Bible in comic form, as well as booklets explaining who Jesus is. He is excited about what he is discovering about Jesus.Praise God for answered prayer in the opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus to Beum. - Please pray that God will protect him, and that the seed that has been planted in his heart will not be snatched away by Satan.
