First Christmas

25/01/2011 7:38 am OMF Thailand <th-itSPAMFILTER@omf.net>

Our house helper, Eid, became a Christian in February 2010. This Christmas was her first real Christmas - the first Christmas when she knew what it was all about, celebrating the birth of her Savior Jesus Christ. It was a great delight to take our dorm kids to her home and sing Christmas carols to Eid and her daughter, Pat. One week later, we heard singing outside the dorm. There was Eid with her small group, Christmas caroling to us! The joy on her face was evident as they sang "Christmas is the Time for Love" and "Joy to the World" in Thai.
On December 26th at her small group Christmas celebration, Eid was given the opportunity to share her testimony. Then her brother-in-law gave a clear presentation of the gospel. Five unsaved members of Eid's family were in attendance. All year we have been praying for these family members to meet Christ through Eid's life. What an answer to prayer to have them attend a Christian gathering! Several other unsaved friends and family of small group members were at the Christmas celebration. Three of them received Christ that evening! Eid is now a light to her family and community. It is our prayer that in this coming year many of Eid's family and friends will come to know Jesus so that next Christmas will be their first real Christmas too!

Please pray for:

  • Family and friends of Eid to come to know Jesus
  • People who attended big and small Christmas celebrations all over the country to continue to think about the message and seek God
