Fed up with alcohol but still not free

Mr. Wan, a very heavy drinker, came to know Jesus after he was fed up with his alcohol problem. He took off the spirit string around his wrist, which his mother had given him 5 years ago. We got to know Mr. Wan, his wife, Khiau, and one-year-old daughter, Cake, when they came to our house selling vegetables about two years ago. He started coming to Sunday meetings and, when possible, brought his family along. The other church members have accepted Mr. Wan and join in praying for him. The LORD has protected him in various accidents. Although willing to talk about it, he is not yet free of alcohol. We don't know any Christian detox or alcohol rehabilitation centre in the South. - Thank God that Mr. Wan accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord.
- Join in prayer for Mr. Wan's spiritual growth and healing of his alcohol problem.
- Alcohol is a major problem for many men in our area. Please pray for Christians willing and able to meet this need adequately and long term.
- May the LORD's power be seen clearly and attract many more.
