    Tui became a Christian a number of years ago. She was instrumental in leading her sister Nee to the Lord. Later, Nee moved in with a non-Christian and gradually slid away from the Lord because she no longer attended church or read her Bible. About 12 years later, Nee got sick and tired of her alcoholic husband who was drunk from morning til night.

    To be honest, in our eyes Phii Daa, Phii Uan and their daughter, Nong Noi, were not really prime candidates to begin a church. But Gods plan was different. He chose those who were least in our village. We got to know them because Phii Uan helped us to pour concrete at our house.

    We met Taw (14) at our regular visits to the Youth Correction Center. When he ran away we tried to help him. His mother had left some years ago and his father had died.

    After I had a motorbike accident, which could have caused severe injury, my language helper, Gae, could see how miraculously God had protected me with only minor injuries.

    Our house helper, Eid, became a Christian in February 2010. This Christmas was her first real Christmas - the first Christmas when she knew what it was all about, celebrating the birth of her Savior Jesus Christ.

    Making disciples of the urban poor in Bangkok often includes meeting their felt-needs. A lady named Pom that we have known for the past year has many felt-needs. She lost a grow-up son a few years ago, and needs emotional healing and comfort.
