Funerals are Opportunities
19/07/2010 8:32 am
"I hope you haven't had to attend any more funerals," a friend recently wrote. During my first year in Thap Than several contacts died: a student in our English club, the lay leader of our church and a good friend's husband. Each of these deaths was very different but in each case I saw how death focuses people, causing them to think about what is really important. -
Monk Business

ThaiBusThe rickety bus was already hopelessly overloaded, but I squeezed onto it for an hour's journey home after attending meetings. I wedged into the back seat between 2 monks and some youths. -
Trained to Serve
19/07/2010 8:22 am
One of our most encouraging experiences recently has been to see T2S* graduates going into long-term ministry both in Thailand and further afield. 15/06/2010 7:34 am
"But, I don't want to go to Burma!" cried one little boy. "Will we back in time to go home on Saturday?" asked another anxiously. They were having their photos taken to make their passports at the Annual Central Thailand Kids Camp. The theme of the camp was Mission. -
Not just a another taxi-ride
15/06/2010 7:30 am
When you live in Bangkok, you travel in many different ways and a taxi-ride can be quite unpredictable. So it was with a sense of apprehension that I got into a bright yellow taxi last week. Each morning I check the news on-line and read the newspaper regarding Thailand's political drama. Some mornings seem to offer some hope for a peaceful resolution.
