Klum Rak Chumchon (group that loves the slums) is a team of OMF missionaries working in the slums and poor communities of Bangkok. Our desire is to offer hope in the midst of hardship for the many men and women who live on the fringes of society; looked down on by most, held captive in the cycle of poverty. We seek to build relationships with the leaders of these communities and look for ways to bring God’s light into these long darkened places.

Our vision is to see God at work bringing men and women into a healing, restoring relationship with Him, their communities and themselves. Our mission is to find practical ways to help these communities and the people within them take care of themselves and their loved ones.

We are now launching a new project to offer an alternative method of making an income; a way to enable men or women, especially those with young children to work on a handy craft project that will allow them the flexibility of working from their homes and during their free time. The project will involve making greeting cards by hand from local paper and products to be sold both locally and internationally. All proceeds will go back into paying the women and buying the supplies. It is a non-profit project specifically to help those who need a hand in helping themselves.
