Donggang is a fishing town of about 50,000 people. It is located one hour south of Kaohsiung. It is famous for its large active temples and for a boat burning festival held every three years to ward off evil influences.

The people of Donggang are mostly working class and have very traditional lifestyles and beliefs. Less than 1% of the people in Donggang are Christian.

Christine Dillon

Christine came to Taiwan from Australia in 1999 and has been in Donggang since 2009. She is hoping to see "the flame of the gospel igniting families' lives and multiplying fervent communities of Jesus' disciples."

Nancy arrived in Taiwan from the Philippines in 2010. She is working with Christine in Bible storying and seeking contacts in order to plant simple churches amongst working class people.
