The opposite of Christmas

In the Taiwanese working class worldview, their gods are often men who have transcended into godhood, escaping the pain of the world. But, we pray that the message of Christmas, that God set aside godhood, became a man and descended into a hurting world, would be clearly heard.
Lord, we pray that the working class can understand the powerful message that You did not consider equality with God something to be clung to, but made Yourself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness, and became obedient to death, even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:6-9)
