Divination

Among the Taiwanese working class, divination is a common practice by professionals and laypeople in temples and in homes in front of the household idols. Many look to these divination practices as a source of direction in their lives both for small and large issues.
Father, we know that household gods give false advice, fortune-tellers predict only lies, and interpreters of dreams pronounce comfortless falsehoods. So, the Taiwanese working class people are wandering like lost sheep, without a shepherd to protect and guide them. We ask You to bring them into Your flock. (Zechariah 10:2)
