A new school year

Taiwanese students went back to school at the beginning of the month. For most of them, after spending all day in school, they spend most of their evenings and weekends in cram schools to prepare for examinations. Their studies are not for gaining wisdom, but rather training in taking examinations. All of this busyness leaves them with very little opportunity to hear and learn from the Lord about how to live a life of peace and joy.
Father, may the Taiwanese students know that by wisdom You laid the earth's foundations, by understanding You set the heavens in place. May they fear You and begin to have wisdom for their lives. May they follow Your precepts, and have a good understanding of how to live on this earth. (Proverbs 3:19, Psalm 111:10)
